Development Partnership Opportunities
Boulder Housing Partners has been providing affordable housing in the City of Boulder, Colorado since 1966. Currently, our Planning and Development staff has over 40 years of experience in planning, project management, construction, and acquisition of affordable housing in Boulder. We are available to assist your organization in the planning and development process.
Lower interest rates may be available to Boulder County non-profit and service organizations for construction, acquisition, and refinancing through partnerships with Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) through allocation of bank-qualified debt. Our Board of Commissioners will determine annually if some or all of its bank qualified debt capacity is available to support other projects in the community.
A property used for a charitable purpose, like housing for low-income residents, is eligible for exemption from property taxes in the state of Colorado. However, owners of such projects must apply for tax exempt status for each of their properties each year, a costly and time consuming process.
