Diversified Properties is now leasing!

The former Holiday Drive In Theater site in north Boulder is being redeveloped as a new community that includes homes for rent and for sale in many price ranges, as well as neighborhood businesses and a new park. There will be affordable and market rate apartments, townhouses, single family homes, duplexes, and a co-housing community. Also included will be community gardens, green building approaches, pedestrian and bike connections, community space, and live/work studios for artists and small businesses.

A vision has been developed by Boulder Housing Partners and Barrett Studio Architects, based upon input from north Boulder neighbors, development partners, Planning Board and City Council. The vision is a new neighborhood with the features that make old neighborhoods livable. These include front porches, alleys, coffee shops, restaurants and other amenities within biking or walking distance. This will be a new community in which to live, work, shop, learn, and play!

The development of the Holiday Neighborhood is a public-private partnership. Seven for-profit and not-for-profit developers are building housing at this site. The intent is for each partner to bring its particular strengths and expertise to the project in order to create the best possible new community. The overall goal of the Holiday Neighborhood is to create a community of richness and diversity, incorporating best of local design, arts, health, and education resources, with an emphasis on affordable living. In Spring 2005, Holiday received awards from PLAN Boulder County, and the Colorado chapter of National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.
