Past Volunteer Projects

2011

Take a look at the new garden bed built at Glen Willow by Eagle Scout Ben Meyer and his fellow scouts on Saturday July 9th, 2011.

The materials and labor were all donated by the scouts with a little help from BHP. The residents have already planted pumpkin seeds in the hopes of pumpkins for Halloween.

2010

Youth group from Salisbury Presbyterian Church share vacation time as volunteers for BHP.

On June 25th, 2010, 87 youth from Salisbury Presbyterian Church, Midlothian, VA constructed a parking wall at 101 Pearl and did grounds clean up. This site includes a single-family home, five apartments and is one of the first non-federal affordable housing sites in Boulder. This faith youth group contacted BHP to give them a group project while they visit the West and took time out of their vacation to donate an afternoon of hard work. The time from the volunteers is valued at $3,946, but the real value is in the fact that the grounds have a clean look, gardens are weeded, and the trees are trimmed. Great Job!!!
