Boulder Housing Partners announces Partnership Awards Program Awardees
The BHP Partnership Recognition Award program recognizes three vital sectors
of our Boulder housing community. We seek to recognize the efforts of individuals,
business and corporate partners and non-profit and governmental agencies.
The award winners for October 2007 are:
Kathleen Jacobson, is our asset manager with Enterprise Social Investment
Corporation (ESIC) and our tax credit partner at Woodlands, Foothills, and
Vistoso. Kathleen has been helpful through the years in assisting us with
our files, procedures, policies and audits. Earlier in the year she contacted
us with great news! She applied for and was awarded a grant which provided
BHP with a tax credit consultant to train our staff on tax credit compliance,
as well as provide us with a complete set of forms to use. The consultant's
help has been invaluable.
Judith Rozicka, and Mary Lou May, with Complete Home Health Care. CHHC has
worked closely with us under the 2003 ROSS grant Stay at Home Program at Walnut
Place for the last three years. CHHC delivers home care to our residents that
otherwise do not qualify for other programs in the community, helping us to
keep residents safe and in their homes. CHHC consistently goes out of their
way to meet the needs of our residents and provide them the "most bang
for our buck". As the program is discontinued, CHHC assisted us in finding
alternative services for our residents.
Water Conservation Staff, Paul Lander, Steve Noud and Curry Rosato, with
the City of Boulder Public Works Department. BHP is pleased to recognize Paul,
Steve and Curry of the Water Conservation staff. Their office provided a $7,000
rebate check on our purchase of energy efficient commercial washers, technical
assistance on our water invoices and educational materials to BHP residents
to raise awareness and encourage water conservation. The Water Conservation
staff also assisted BHP staff with informational items and consulting and
helped BMM residents achieve their water savings goal. |
